My nerdery runneth over
I just watched Serenity again last night for the first time since it came out.
I laughed.
I teared up in a manful way when Wash died.
What a great show and movie. Stupid stupid fox.
Anyway, it reminded me that movies are good too.
I was just thinking we should get together sometime for another movie nerd night. Watch one of the classics, or something new, before we get down to Gears bidness.

Milestone or Millstone Passed
AMERICAN FORK - On March 26th at 7:37 pm, without pomp or pageantry, 38 year old Utah resident Christian Lambert unlocked the sixty year dynasty achievement in NCAA Football '07. Lambert, an interactive media developer, and father of four, purchased the game in late November of 2006 and endured sleep deprivation, tendonitis, and marital strife to reach the landmark. "I'm relieved", Lambert said wistfully, "There were those who didn't believe that I could, or even should pull this off." Lambert, known as BluEyeDevil to his peers, elaborated further stating that even among his Xbox crazed “gamer clan” there were those who thought he should seek professional help. “One night at around 4:00 am BaldBomber messages me and says I needed help. Whatever! I’ll let the numbers do the talking, you decide.”
In the sixty seasons played by Lambert his teams went 813 – 0. He had 60 conference championships and 54 national championships with 3 different teams. He was 423 – 0 verses the top 25, and 57 – 0 in rivalry games. “I still have a wife, four kids, a job and a few friends, those are the numbers I’m most proud of.” Lambert said. When asked what he was going to do next Lambert replied. “I’d like to spend more time outdoors with my family, use my time more constructively and creatively, but more than likely I’ll just move on to NBA 2K7 or try to finish Lost Planet so I can lend it to one of my clan.”
It’s inspiring to know in this world of turmoil and tragedy that triumph, 813 triumphs, can still be had by the average, middle aged, fat guy in his recliner. Play on BluEyeDevil! Play on!!

Nerd Knights Clan tag
We have been talking about getting our gammer tags to go along with our nerd Knights website. This would mean that if we do decide to do this we would have to all pay about $10 to change our gammer tags on xbox live. We were thinking about taking a vote to see who would first off be willing to do this. The next step would be how we would want them to look. Here are the stipulations on what characters you may use, (may consist of Aa-Zz, 0-9, and single spaces, and cannot start with 0-9). We have a couple of ideas:
NK Dustizzy
nN Dustizzy Nn
kK Dustizzy Kk
NK Dustizzy NK
nK Dustizzy
So first off vote on if we should do this at all.
Next if you all have any other ideas on how we should do it, post them as well.

And the winner is…
I would like to thank all those who entered the sweepstakes to win the “extended lend” of my NCAA Football ’07 game. The response was overwhelming, and my decision has been a difficult one. In the end it came down to 2 worthy potential recipients; Cahloud and BaldBomber. Both offered heartfelt pleas, thought provoking arguments, and demonstrated drive and determination to take their place at my side. But in the end there can be only one!
So with out further ado allow me to congratulate Cahloud! He was the only entrant to fulfill the requirement of this competition to “write an essay TITLED "Why I deserve NCAA Football '07"”. So despite the fact his egotistical, mean-spirited rantings insulted everything from my DDR skills, to my wife’s Halo abilities, to Jared’s pudgy fingers, he is the winner of the extended lend of my big disc.
On a side note; I was so touched and inspired by BaldBomber’s prose that I would be remiss if I were to not reward his efforts with some small token of my appreciation. Hat’s off to you Jared. Enjoy!

Win My Big Disc
Knights, as I near the 60 year dynasty achievement in NCAA Football '07 I have begun to think about how I can give back to the community that I have so handily abused. None of you are able to compete with me in this, or ANY Football game, so I am graciously going to grant a lucky Knight an "extended borrow" of my NCAA '07 game disc. All you have to do to win is write an essay titled "Why I deserve NCAA Football '07" and reply as a comment to this post. Good Luck!
